Wye Mills is an unincorporated community in Queen Anne's County, Maryland, and it has had its share of the limelight on more than one occasion. The town is home to Wye Mill which was constructed in 1682 and has been in constant use since then (it is currently a museum as well as a functioning mill). Wye Mills has several buildings on the National Register of Historic Places, including a plantation mansion, Wye House, and St. Lukes Anglican Church (more commonly known as Old Wye Church) which was built in 1712. It is home to Chesapeake College, the first regional community college in Maryland. In October 1998, then-President Bill Clinton held a summit in Wye Mills (the Wye Accord) that included leaders from the Middle East.
