Camp Taylor Campground

With the Poconos Mountains nearby, you'll want to plan a trip to the gorgeous Big Pocono State Park. This 1,300-acre park consists of woodlands and fields encompassing Camelback Mountain. Hikers will love exploring the eight and a half miles of trails that lead up the mountain, and at the top, hikers will be rewarded with panoramic views of the surrounding states. If you want to relax before making your descent, you can have a bite to eat at one of the many picnic tables. During the winter, this park becomes a hotspot for winter sports, including downhill skiing. If you're looking for a park that mixes history and beauty during your Columbia RV rental vacation, then consider visiting Kittatinny Valley State Park. This park consists of woodlands, swamps, and lakes within a lush valley. The park contains a lot of history, including former railways and a 400-year old Lenape village. There are over 40 miles of trails to explore, which will take you past some of the region's best historical and natural sights. During your walk, keep an eye out for local wildlife, including beavers, white-tailed deer, and songbirds. There are also several lakes in the park that are ideal for watersports such as fishing, swimming, boating, and more. One of New Jersey's largest lakes can be found at nearby Swartswood State Park. This park is one of the oldest in the state and features Swartswood Lake, making it an excellent destination for an array of watersports, including boating, swimming, and fishing. Anglers often reel in trout during the summer, and catfish, perch, and sunfish during the fall and spring. If you want to stay on dry land, there are a few short walking trails under a mile in length, which are suitable for horseback riding, biking, or hiking. Campers looking to relax can book a picnic area and enjoy a lakeside lunch.
