Let's start with a few questions to narrow down your options.
Grantham is an unincorporated town in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. It was established prior to 1915 when homes were built in the “downtown” area for factory workers; many of these houses still exist. The factory was owned by Messiah College's first president, S.R. Smith and produced noodles. After it had closed, the property was used for aircraft parts and later, as a greeting card company. The community was home to Grantham National Bank which printed the local currency before currency became the federal government's responsibility. Today, there is very little in the community outside of Messiah College. No industry or mass commercialization; the town is primarily the haven of students who attend Messiah College, the college's staff and faculty, and the parents of some of the college's students. The town is largely quiet and traffic free, encouraging residents to walk and bike; a community association symbolizes citizen involvement in town affairs. The town has one property on the National Register of Historic Places, the Gilbert Bridge, added in 1989.
