Originally known as Coryell’s Ferry, the current name was born after a disastrous fire in 1790 destroyed several mills and homes in the area. The reconstruction was called a “new hope.” After the historic Delaware Crossing and post-Battle of Trenton and Princeton, General Washington is said to have destroyed the ferry to prevent the British from pursuing his troops.

The Great Outdoors
When you rent a motorhome in New Hope, you likely want to hit the outdoors for fresh air, fun, and adventure. Walking and biking paths run the entire length of the Delaware Canal State Park, which parallels the Delaware River for 60 miles. There are simple boat launches at various points along the trail for smaller crafts like kayaks, paddle boats, and canoes. Motorized boats are common on the river, as well, though you may need to use a marina’s boat launch for larger boats. The river contains mostly warm-water fish, like the American Shad, smallmouth bass, striped bass, and walleye.

Don’t forget to figure out where to park your RV rental overnight while you grab a few hours of sleep. There are a few campgrounds to the north, near Upper Black Eddy. Beaver Valley Family Campground offers its guests the choice of parking in an open space or in deep woods. Their amenities include WiFi, swimming pools, and easy access to hiking trails.

Named one of “America’s Favorite Towns” by Travel + Leisure, New Hope is known for boutique shops, riverside restaurants, theater, and other cultural attractions. People-watch as you dine in one of the Main Street’s patio cafes or enjoy the sailboats drifting by along the scenic Delaware River. Craft beer is a time-honored tradition in Pennsylvania, and into a nod to that, many pubs in New Hope have local breweries on tap, often excluding the more popular domestic and imported beers. Hand-crafted household items, jewelry, and pottery, are among the many unique items available in the little shops dotting the town.

Best rental we have had in years. The coach is absolutely phenomenal. Was loaded with everything we needed and everything worked 100% as it should. Communication and customer service with host Adrian was on point and couldn't have been better. We will definitely be renting this every year. Top of the line coach with everything you would need and more! Highly recommend renting this unit from him you Will NOT be disappointed! DO NOT USE RVEZY!! THE SITE IS TRASH AND MORE EXPENSIVE

I had a fantastic experience renting from RatedRV! Tim was awesome to work with—super communicative, responsive, and always available for any questions. He gave me a very thorough walk-through before and after the rental, which made everything smooth and stress-free. The RV itself was perfect for our group of four, and I can officially say it converted some tent campers into RV fans!
