The Great Outdoors

Though Ralph Stover State Park in Pipersville is a bit condensed — it’s only 45 acres — you can find outdoor recreational activities for everyone. Fish for carp, smallmouth bass, sunfish, and catfish or go for a challenging whitewater adventure on Tohickon Creek. Rock climbers can scale the 150-foot sheer rock face of the High Rocks area, or those a bit more faint of heart can just enjoy views of the Tohickon Creek Gorge from behind the safety rail. Though there is only one mile of hiking trail, like the park itself, you’ll find many hidden treasures condensed into that one-mile hike, so be sure to check out it out when you rent a motorhome in Pipersville.

RV Parks

When you book a motorhome rental in Pipersville, you'll find a few places where you could stay for a night or two...or longer. One option is Oak Grove Park and Sales in Hatfield. Less than 30 minutes' drive outside of Pipersville, the RV park has 63 sites, all of which are graveled and leveled. Each site has full hookups, and there’s also an on-site dump station to accommodate all visitors. The RV park has a playground for children, a laundry facility, cable TV hookups, and a 24-hour bathhouse. If you are traveling with pets, feel free to bring them because they are welcomed here.

Exploring the City

Fifteen minutes south of Pipersville, you’ll encounter Doylestown and Fonthill Castle. Built between 1908-1912, it was the home and showplace of anthropologist, ceramist, antiquarian, scholar, and archaeologist Henry Chapman Mercer. The “Castle for the New World” is eclectic in its design, combining Gothic, Medieval, and Byzantine architectural styles. Today, the historic house museum displays Mercer’s handcrafted tiles as well as his furnishings and personal effects. The museum’s permanent exhibits also showcase tools and products of early American craft, trade, and occupation.

I rented the RV for a weekend at a race track, and it was perfect. Tim delivered the RV on time, set it up, and walked me through how to use it. The RV was clean and modern. Would rent again.
