Discover Wrightsville RV rentals for memorable road trips

Although it is a small town, Wrightsville was, at one point, under heavy consideration to be the capital of the United States. Wrightsville was named for John Wright, an early pioneer who first settled in town back before the United States existed. This charming town on the Susquehanna River is an incredible place with lots of history, a fact that becomes more and more clear the more time you spend there.

The Great Outdoors

Outside of the major population centers, The Keystone State is packed with excellent state parks in nearly every corner. Just down river from Wrightsville is Susquehannock State Park. The park is situated right on the river next to a large reservoir, with breathtaking views, especially in autumn. Trails in the park are meant for hiking, biking, and even horseback riding, while the river is great for swimming, fishing, and kayaking/canoeing.

RV Parks

There are tons of places to park the campervan rental near Wrightsville. Ben Franklin RV Park is named for the founding father and noteworthy Pennsylvania resident, maintaining an inviting atmosphere. There are paved patios, laundry facilities, restrooms, internet, and just about anything else you could think of to make you feel at home.

City Attractions

Wrightsville is steeped in history, so seeing its many antiquated buildings and historical sites is an absolute pleasure. The Wrightsville Lime Kilns date back to the 19th century, used for turning limestone into lime for industrial and household use. This is just one example of old industrial features in a now suburban community devoid of factories. The local historical society is prominent, taking stewardship over the historic districts and many of the old homes and buildings erected hundreds of years ago. Although it is just ruins now, the covered bridge that once spanned the Susquehannock River can be seen, even if it is just stone pillars jutting out of the water. The bridge burned on two separate occasions, one of which was back during the Civil War. The old firehouse still stands too, home to the brave firefighters who were among the first of their kind in the nation.

RV was spacious, clean and well maintained. Austin is a great host. He is friendly and accommodating. He delivered and picked up the RV at the times we agreed on and was available for any questions we had about the RV.
