Such a great experience from beginning to end!
David made the pick up super easy and the van was in perfect condition ready to go!
David stayed in communication during my whole trip which made me feel very comfortable in case I needed anything. But between his instructions at the time of pick up, along with the instruction book in the van, I was able to figure everything out on my own with out any problems at all. Drop off was also a breeze. I will absolutely use outdoorsy again and hopefully will be able to rent this exact van again!

We had a great time in the van. It was outfitted with everything you need including great solar and inverter. Will definitely rent again!

A Great National Park Trip!

My wife and I rented David’s camper van so that we could visit Voyageurs
National Park, Isle Royale National Park, and the Apostle Islands National
Lakeshore. This would be our first experience with any sort of camper or camping
in general, so we were a little hesitant. After chatting with David (who
responded very quickly) before booking, he made us feel comfortable by answering
all of our questions and providing a very informative guide that he created for
his van.
He was very flexible with the pickup time and even offered to pick us up from
the airport if his schedule allowed it. We didn’t need the pickup, but we
appreciated the offer.
Upon arrival to pick up the van, David gave us a quick 20-minute tour and some
brief instructions. Most of the info given was in the guide, but the hands-on
the tutorial was helpful.
The van had plenty of storage space in the back (under the bed) for our luggage
and a few supplies. There was also more storage under the bench and in the
drawers and cabinets. The bed was very comfortable and was equipped with 4
pillows, sheets, and a warm comforter.
The kitchen worked very well with the two induction burners, some knives, a few
pans and utensils, and a pullout table to eat on. There was also more than
enough space in the fridge to hold everything we needed for all meals for four
days.
The cell booster was very useful in the areas we visited and boosted our one bar
of service to over three or four bars consistently.
We did not use the toilet during our trip, but it was nice knowing we had it
, just in case. The shower worked perfectly for our needs. We both took quick
showers each morning and never ran out of hot water. For the four-day trip, the
water provided when we picked up the van was enough to last. We had several
gallons left over, even with showering, dish cleaning, and frequent hand-washing.
During the whole trip, we never required hookups for water, dumping, or
electrical. The battery that is charged by solar power and driving was
sufficient for everything we did. We used the air conditioner every evening to
cool the van after cooking and before bed. (Cooking and running the air
conditioner are what drain the battery the most.)
The drive was comfortable (other than some very rough Wisconsin roads), and the
van performed well. The van does have Bluetooth, and a few clips to hold phones
for navigation purposes are provided.
Overall, it was a wonderful trip in a clean and functional van with a very
friendly host. We would highly recommend David and his van to anyone looking for
a rental in the area.

I had a great week exploring the Black Hills and Theodore Roosevelt National Park in this van. The van was perfect for off-grid camping and David was fabulous!

My wife and I had an incredible experience renting David's van - it truly has everything you need inside and made our trip so much better! We did not have any hookups at our camping site and the van kept us cool with the air conditioning all weekend (thank you David!). Additionally, having the AC use a regular thermostat was SO nice. On the first night of our trip, we pulled into a spot in the middle of the night and went to bed within minutes, we loved having our bed set up and ready for us. We have rented a van before without a shower and let me tell you - the shower is a GAME CHANGER and a must have! We showered each day and still had extra water leftover at the end of our long weekend trip. There was hot water on demand, and we didn't run out of it showering back-to-back either! We utilized the cell booster in a very remote area, and it helped boost the very little service that was there. As someone who is picky about the mattress they sleep on, I was very pleased with the mattress and bedding in the van and was able to get great sleep each night. Everything in the van was easy to use, clearly explained, and well-thought-out. One of our favorite things was the panel on the wall that showed you our battery power remaining, water level, and other necessary stats about the van. It was so nice to check throughout the weekend! There is an exhaust fan that has a remote and I was so thankful for that remote when we wanted to switch things up. We have had experience with manual crank fans and the remote was an additional luxury we enjoyed. The garage storage was indeed very spacious and perfect for our extra items. In addition to the van being awesome, David was great to work with, had excellent communication, and was clearly very thorough in designing his van. We would gladly rent this van over and over again and hope others enjoy it too!

My van rental experience was amazing! I was a bit nervous to rent a van by myself and take it cross country, but David's communication and guidebook throughout the process made it so easy. The van had everything I needed to feel comfortable and enjoy my trip. My favorite amenities might be the shower and the cell phone booster. The shower is so nice to do a quick rinse off right before bed and not have to leave the van with all of your shower stuff. The cell phone booster is clutch when you only have one bar, it boosts your service so you don't notice any lag time. Any questions I had were either already in the guidebook or I texted David and he replied immediately with a solution. Thanks to David and this van I had a very fun trip. I would definitely rent from him again.
