The Great Outdoors
There are lots of great parks to explore when you book an RV in Pennington, and one of best is Mercer Meadows located just outside the city limits. This park covers over 1,600 acres of land split into six districts, making this huge park easy to explore. One district, Rosedale Park, is home to varied natural environments including meadows and forests, with the Lawrence-Hopewell Trail taking hikers through both habitats and by the Rosedale Lake. This park is superb for picnicking and fishing; there is also an off-leash dog park, making it a quality place for your four-legged friend to get some exercise.
RV Parks
Pennington doesn't offer any RV parks in the city, and the closest campgrounds are located in nearby Jackson. If you're looking for a somewhere to park your RV rental near Pennington, you could consider Timberland Lake Campground. This campground offers over 200 dirt sites, with half the sites having full hookups with 30 and 50 amp service. Various types of campsites are on offer including pull-throughs, with space for slide-outs and big rigs. Amenities include a snack bar and grocery store, and there are plenty of recreation activities including fishing and swimming in the lake.
Exploring the City
Pennington is a small borough in Mercer County, and as a result, amenities are limited other than grocery stores and a few restaurants. There are, however, some lovely vineyards in the area, ideal if you're a fan of wine. Anything else you need when you have a campervan rental from Pennington can be found in nearby Trenton which is quite a large city. There are some intriguing places to go in Trenton too, including the New Jersey State Museum. One of the most fascinating museums in the state, the New Jersey State Museum is home to many unique exhibits, including fossils, modern art, and the history of Native Americans in the area. We traveled as a family of three adults and a small dog and had a fantastic time with Sam’s RV! The van was the perfect size—large enough for all of us to be comfortable, yet small enough to easily drive around and park in U.S. towns.
Sam was a wonderful host! He was very accommodating, which we truly appreciated, and always responded quickly, making the whole process seamless. The RV itself was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need and more—pots and pans, bedding, even camping chairs! It was also great on gas.

Great experience with the host and this wonderful RV. The host was timely in responding and meeting with the vehicle, showed me the key features and functions and got us on the road quickly. The RV was top of the line, everything worked great and it was very comfortable for our trip. Would rent again for sure.

The best parts of our trip are the amazing memories we made together. The camper was better than I expected. The 3 of us had such a great time. The only thing was we should have stayed camping longer we had so much fun. Tony was an amazing host! He helped us every step of the way and answered any questions we had. We can’t wait to book again
