Getting Outdoors

When you rent a camper near Elkhart Lake during the summer, there are plenty of opportunities to get out and about on this beautiful spring-fed lake. Although the lake is relatively small, it is the ideal spot for a day of kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding. Those motorhome camping with their own boat in tow can make a beeline for the public boat launch ramp located in the westernmost corner of the lake. Any keen sailors with an RV rental nearby should make sure to visit Elkhart Lake on a Sunday when the whole lake turns into a no-wake zone, and there are several sailing races held!

Camping at Elkhart Lake

Although RV camping at Elkhart Lake itself isn’t possible, there are several campsites just a short drive away. Heading south from the lake along Highway 67, you will come across the huge Plymouth Rock Camping Resort. Boasting over 600 campsites that are suitable for those with a rental RV, you will have no problem finding a place to set up camp in this well-equipped campsite. Even better, your furry friends are more than welcome on the grounds, as long as they are kept on a leash and remain well behaved.

We had a fantastic experience renting this camper for the weekend! The hosts were incredibly friendly and did an excellent job walking us through everything before we left. The camper itself was in great condition, very clean, and had everything we needed for a smooth trip. We didn’t run into any issues at all and truly enjoyed the whole experience. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and well-kept camper!
