RV rental Martinak State Park, MD: Motorhome rentals, camper van rentals and more

There are 63 sites at the Martinak State Park campground, split over two areas, called Loop A and Loop B. Half the sites on Loop A are for either tents or RVs, while on Loop B there are another 30 sites for your rental RV. At the center of each loop is a restroom with hot showers and toilets, plus a playground for the children. Electric hookup with a 30-amp supply is available at most campsites, and all the spots have a picnic table and a fire ring. There are no water hookups on these sites, but water is available on both loops. Pets are allowed in all areas of the park, but dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.

Just a mile north of the park is the town of Denton. For all your essentials while camping at Martinak State Park, this town should have everything you need. There are several general stores, including a Walmart Supercenter, a wide choice of restaurants and several gas stations. If you are RV camping at Martinak State Park at the beginning of July, then make a plan to visit the Tuckahoe Steam and Gas annual show. It’s held in Easton, close to the edge of Chesapeake Bay. The two-day event is dedicated to industrial and agricultural machinery from the golden age of steam power. If your passion is antique steam engines, then this is a must for you! Easton also holds the interesting Waterfowl Festival. Much of the festival is dedicated to local artists that specialize in waterfowl images displaying and selling their work. Although it may seem a little funny, the locals may not so don’t take the mickey when you hear the goose and duck calling contests! You’ll also find a whole range of gift items on display. Of particular interest is the Delaware State Fair, held near Harrington, DE each year since 1919. Only a half-hour drive from Martinak State Park camping ground, the fair offers a very wide range of activities and events to enjoy. For the kids, there is a carnival with rides and amusements, plus a livestock show where children are encouraged to get involved and show their prize-winning animal! Entertainment from live bands and circus acts is a common occurrence throughout the show, along with a parade of beautiful Clydesdale horses. There’s plenty of parking for your rental RV, so for a great day out, the Delaware State Fair has just about everything anyone would need.
