Henderson is a town in Caroline County, Maryland. The county was created in 1774 and named after the wife of Robert Eden, Maryland's last colonial governor. Two of Caroline County's towns were featured on an old TV show, Hee Haw; one of the episodes is immortalized in the comedy wing of the Country Music Hall of Fame. Caroline is also widely known as the stomping grounds (literally) of rock musician George Thorogood, who started off playing bars in Caroline County before becoming successful.

There are other towns that might also be interesting to tourists vacationing here. Denton was originally named Eden Town which was eventually shortened to Denton by the time it was incorporated. Cope Bennett Park is a cultivated urban park with recreational activities such as tennis, softball, picnicking, and more. The park has exceptional views of the Nanticoke River and the Route 313 bridge that crosses the river.
